Major League Soccer Reassures Sponsors And Advertisers That They Will Be Protected From ICE Related Protests

Major League Soccer (MLS) went out of their way to reassure sponsors and advertisers that they will be protected from ICE related protests as they stated, “We told our fans nothing political and we mean it.”

Sources say that the league was extremely proactive to let their largest revenue source know that they would protect their interests in selling products to both people who think immigrants are ok and those that think that every person who doesn’t agree with them should be gunned down in the street by a hail of bullets by federal officers.

“It’s important for us to re-assure and comfort our sponsors and advertisers during this tumultuous time,” stated one league insider. “We must ensure that if our sponsors are feeling skittish and worried about immigration raids and the rhetoric coming from BOTH sides that they continue to spend their advertising dollars with our league.”

Sources with teams in the league state that players themselves did not receive a phone call, but were sent a form email that stated, “look, if you were any better you wouldn’t be here in the first place so just deal with it and show your papers.”

The Nutmeg News will have more on this as more international players look away from the league with international players who refuses to take a stand on anything other than money.
