Seattle, WA - Seattle Sounders players were reportedly unaware that superfan Dave Lewis from Renton, Washington has given up on the season as they forged ahead towards a playoff birth.

“He did WHAT,” stated one anonymous player who was flabbergasted at the announcement. “After the crazy ups and downs and hard work we put in to try to get this season back on the rails….. Dave just gave up?”
Sources say that Dave was just, “Fucking done,” and indicated this multiple times throughout the last six months.
“Yeah, for someone that is done he is still watching the games and complaining,” stated one anonymous player.
For his part, Dave from Renton stated that he, “deserved better,” as he lost a parlay that he put down on the team at the Emerald Queen. Dave also claimed that, “We won’t do better until we rid ourselves of all the dead weight,” as he posted a shot from a meet and greet where he spoke at length about his love of the continuity and legacy in the team to head coach Brian Schmetzer.
